Washington, March 1, (UIA) -- Frequent explosions due
to lax security measures in "Xinjiang" mines already
resulted the death of 36 miners this year, China's
state media reported on Thursday.

According to China News Service report, 36 miners died
early this year in "Xinjiang" as a result of eleven
different explosions, including two major ones. An
explosion that occurred at Sigonghe Coal Mine near
Fukang City killed four miners, the report said.

Another major explosion that occurred at Dapingtan Coal
Mine near Fukang City on February 22 killed eleven
miners, according to the report.

measures and lack of fire-extinguishers in the mines.
