Uyghur Information Agency Launches New Website

For immediate release: The Uyghur Information Agency (UIA) has officially
launched its new website today at http://www.uyghurinfo.com.
The Uyghur Information
Agency (UIA) is an independent and nonprofit news organization based in
Washington, DC in the United States of America. The UIA is not affiliated with
any political party or religious organization. The purpose of UIA is to bring
up-to-date information in the English language about the situation in Eastern
Turkestan (what is at present the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region of
China). UIA will also provide news from the international media relevant to the
Uyghur people and the future of Eastern Turkestan UIA will stick to the
highest standard of journalism and strive to be the credible voice and
authentic news source on the issues related to the Uyghur people. UIA will
objectively present the current human rights situation and the history of
the Uyghur people as well as Eastern Turkistan, including China's
takeover, annexation, and continuous colonization of the region.
UIA welcomes voluntary stringers, commentators and freelance writers from around
the world that is interested in the Uyghur people and the future of Eastern
Turkistan. UIA accepts articles from interested members. Anybody who is
interested in objectively writing about the history, present situation and
future of Eastern Turkestan may contact UIA to become a full member.
