The Uyghur Human Rights Coalition's second university presentation of the
fall semester will be at AMERICAN UNIVERSITY in Washington, DC on Tuesday,
October 10. The announcement is below. Please forward it to your
friends and colleagues in the DC area. The purpose of
these presentations is to educate university students about the Uyghurs'
human rights situation and mobilize them to action. More
specifically, through these presentations, we are trying to find
students interested in establishing university chapters of the
Uyghur Human Rights Coalition (UHRC) that would meet regularly and
implement UHRC's campaigns and activities on the university
campuses. Mobilizing university students is key to building our grassroots
movement for Uyghurs in the United States. If you are interested in
helping the UHRC to arrange a presentation at your university this
semester or in the spring semester, contact our Education Committee Chair,
Toni Braun, at acbraun@early.com.
Peace and happiness,
Kathy
